Credit recovery

No Child Left Behind!

Credit recovery programs are to provide just-in-time remediation to keep each student on track to pass courses the first time, and to give the students the opportunity to gain missing credits as needed.

Credit recovery is a term used to describe a wide variety of educational strategies and programs that give students who have failed a class the opportunity to redo coursework or retake a course through alternate means—and thereby avoid failure and earn academic credit. In some cases, credit recovery is touted as a dropout-prevention strategy. Students may take a credit-recovery course during normal school hours, after school, on vacation breaks, or over the summer.

OUR VALUES

Credit recovery 1

A targeted "learn by doing" approach engages students in rigorous, standards-aligned content so they are able to pass classes and graduate in time for post-secondary school success.

  1. Identify Credit & Credit Recovery Needs
  2. Monitor Student's Progress
  3. Necessary Adjustment to personalize student's learning path
Credit recovery 2

Our integrated assessments allow learners to move past content they have already mastered and focus on the concepts that need additional attention.

Pairing online curriculum and real-time data with teacher-led instruction makes it possible to truly personalize learning for every student.

  • Credit recovery use the same rigorous, standards-based content as students engaged in our digital curriculum for original credit.
  • A variety of opt-in scaffolds are embedded directly into the content to provide additional support when a student needs it.
  • Students progress through each course at their own pace, taking as much — or as little — time as necessary to master the material.
Credit recovery 3

For many students, the need to recover only one or two course credits is all that stands between them and graduating from high school. With alternative options and the right support, these students can successfully learn even the most rigorous class materials and reach their goal of graduation.
