WESTERN CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL
SUMMER PROGRAM
Western Christian High School Summer Program (WCHSSP) is a unique service that Western Christian High offers to students to remediate a grade or take a course for advancement. WCOA allows students to further their educational goals from anywhere through a completely online interface. All online courses are UC A-G approved. For more information on how to enroll, please contact your school counselor.
Please note the following WCHSSP policies and procedures:
All courses start on Monday June 3rd, 2024.
The last day to register for a course is Monday June 17th, 2024.
Mandatory participation of 6 weeks per semester is required to receive credit.
Western Christian students taking online courses for the summer must complete all online coursework by September 3rd, 2024.
The last day to drop the course without any penalty is June 17th, 2024. A full refund is available (minus a $50 registration fee) up until that date. No refunds are available after June 17th, 2024.
Students who drop the course after June 17th will receive a "W" on their transcript.
Students who are not working consistently and need to be pulled from the course will receive a "WF" (impacting the GPA).
Please note that signing up for 1 semester only is not a complete year.
English courses can only be taken to recover credits. Original credits will not be given for English.
Students must work consistently and turn in assigments every week to gain credits in the class.
Parents will either be receiving regular communication and/or will have the ability to monitor their child’s progress.
Students are expected to communicate frequently with the course instructor. Communication is highly encouraged and is a must if working around vacations or other events that may interrupt pacing.
A request for a deadline extension may only be granted by the approval of the school counselor or instructor.
Current Western Christian students should allow an ample amount of time for the completion of online courses and are encouraged to register and begin WCHSSP coursework accordingly.
Students and parents understand that a D- must be achieved for the online course to be accepted and credited toward graduation.
Any act of cheating, plagiarizing, or any other type of activity deemed to be unethical or against the student code of conduct will be disciplined according to Western Christian’s academic integritypolicy.
To begin enrolling, use the Course Finder on the top right. A counselor code from WCSSP is required in order to enroll. For assistance with registration, please contact support@myonlineacademy.com or call (888) 865-8123.
